Steve Jobs’ Successor to Unveil Apple iPad 2
We are nearing March 2 and the Apple Media Event but we still haven’t heard from Apple about who will be presenting the iPad 2. Apple has kept a tight lid on Steve Jobs health status and whether he will be coming back for the March 2 event.
We were reading about this and what we heard from TechRadar is that Apple’s shareholders are already asking for updates regarding Steve’s health and status with the company.
Back to topic, there has been wild speculation that Apple COO and acting-CEO Tim Cook will be doing the honors come March 2.
NewsFactor said “Steve Jobs has resisted a succession plan for a long period of time. So while the board is signaling that it has one, that plan might simply constitute that they are going to go out and look for somebody,” Enderle said. “Whoever is named CEO of Apple after Jobs is clearly going to have a big impact on the valuation of Apple. Most companies like Apple that lose its iconic founder flounder for a while and tend to have a fairly steep decline in stock price at least for the first few years.”
Will this be the end of Steve Jobs’ reign at Apple? We’ll know more come March 2.
